Italian

Many of Las Vegas's best restaurants are located on, or near, the Resort Corridor (commonly called The Strip), and their names are among those listed below.

Please take note of a restaurant's Location Number and then click on this MAP LINK  to view the Strip/Near Strip Map and match any restaurant having a number to its location on the map.

However, if you're reading a restaurant's write-up and it doesn't show a
Location Number, that means it's not located on the Strip/Near Strip map.  I've provided street addresses for all restaurants so you easily can determine driving directions on your car's navigation system or with Google, MapQuest or Waze apps on your phone or tablet.

BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN LAS VEGAS

Because  of Las Vegas' long-ago Italian involvement in casino-related businesses, the city has never lacked for an abundance of restaurants showcasing the  Italian heritage.  To this day there are many choices that range from small mom and pop locations to glamorous and grandiose establishments.  The following recommendations represent the Best Italian Restaurants in Las Vegas.

Ferraro's Italian Restaurant

4480 Paradise Rd., Las Vegas

This large, attractive restaurant is located just minutes off the Strip and hosts an eclectic mix of diners, from casually dressed tourists and locals to dressier clientele sporting the latest designer fashions.

The menu offers a large variety of regional Italian selections that will present you with the pleasant problem of trying to decide what you'll want to order.  Additionally, the wine list is quite extraordinary, and if you can't decide on a selection, you may call on the restaurant's personable sommelier for assistance.  Go and enjoy.

Scarpetta – Cosmopolitan

3708 Las Vegas Blvd. S., Las Vegas

Considering this town's years-ago history with many Italian mobsters, it's somewhat surprising today that we don't have more outstanding restaurants showcasing that ethnic heritage.  Scarpetta is one that deserves to be on the “exceptional” list.  Award-winning chef Scott Conant brought his famous New York City restaurant to Las Vegas, and received the same acclaim here as he did in the Big Apple (though he is no longer associated with the restaurant).  Across the breadth of the menu, from appetizers to desserts, there are many unique touches that will captivate and amaze your expectations.  The service is very attentive without being stuffy, and the modern treatment of classic dishes is definitely worth a trip.  Mangia!

Located right on St. Mark's Square in the Venetian, this successful restaurant offers a compact menu that demonstrates beautifully that "bigger" isn't always "better".  They offer great attention to detail with extremely well-prepared dishes bursting with flavor.

Maggiano's Little Italy - On the Strip at the Fashion Show Mall

3200 Las Vegas Blvd. S., Las Vegas

With well over 300 locations in dozens of states, this thriving restaurant chain attracts huge numbers of satisfied diners.  Though some people believe that large nationwide chains serve very ordinary food, they havent yet tried the extensive menu offerings at Maggiano's.  The menu contains creative appetizers, classic dishes and specialty pizzas, with generous portions across the board.  This is a large restaurant with a fun, casual personality that you'll find enjoyable.

Amalfi - Caesars Palace

3570 Las Vegas Blvd. S., Las Vegas

Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay's newest Las Vegas Restaurant (opened in 2021) perfectly creates the outstanding food and vibe he has discovered during his travels to Italy's Amalfi Coast.  The concept of an Italian restaurant here that emphasizes both imaginative pasta dishes and fresh seafood flown in from the Mediterranean provides a delicious addition to our local restaurant scene.

Carbone - Aria

3730 Las Vegas Blvd. S., Las Vegas

Chef Mario Carbone and his partners opened Carbone's in New York's Greenwich Village in 2013 with the goal of showcasing classic Italian dishes in a setting that was a throwback to the old-time Italian restaurants of the mid-20th century.  Their efforts were rewarded by a James Beard Foundation nomination as one of the "Best New Restaurants in America".  Carbone himself was named "Best New Chef in America" by Food and Wine magazine.

When their Las Vegas version opened in 2015 it also embodied their New York vision of serving an array of excellent, well-prepared dishes in a classy, comfortable and down-to-earth atmosphere.  You'll enjoy their approach to Italian cuisine.
